Karns City girls soccer team claim another D-9 title

The Karns City girls soccer team defeated Elk County Catholic 7-1 last night in Brookville to win the District 9 Class 1A Championship. Hannah Dailey led the Gremlins with three goals. It was the Karns City programs 27th title over the last 31 years, across different classifications. The Gremlins will get to host the WPIAL Class 1A Runner-up next Tuesday to open the PIAA playoffs. Bentworth and Sewickley Academy meet in the WPIAL Class 1A title game tonight at Highmark Stadium.
