Kevin was born on November 30, 1955, to the late Patrick Hayden and Jean (Davidson) Hayden.
Kevin graduated from Moniteau High School in 1973 and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked for Harsco as a heavy equipment operator before retiring in 2020. Kevin was a lifetime member of the East Butler Firemen’s Club, the National Rifle Association, the Butler City Hunting and Fishing Club, and AARP. He had a passion for classic cars, old movies, hunting, and camping. He also loved woodworking and even had his own woodworking shop. Kevin was a highly motivated Steelers fan and would never miss a game. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Kevin is survived by his wife, Donna Hayden, whom he married on July 10, 2004. He is also survived by his son, Jamie (Jody) Rivera, of Kentucky; his daughter, April (Kyle) Miller, of Butler; nine grandchildren; sister, Mary Hayden, of Greensburg; brother David (Helen) Hayden of West Sunbury; and sister, Beth Hayden, of Butler; and one nephew, Craig Hayden.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Pat Hayden, Jr.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 3 pm to 6 pm at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street, Butler, PA 16001.
A blessing service will be held immediately following the visitation at 6 pm at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, with Deacon Mike Kaufman officiating.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, from 1 pm to 3 pm at the East Butler Fireman’s Club, 808 Grant Ave, East Butler, PA 16029.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741, or to the East Butler Fire Department, PO Box 162, East Butler, PA 16029.
