Mark “Pegleg” W. Holmes, 61, of Prospect passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026. He was born in Butler on June 19, 1964, to Bertha F. Lawton and the late Wallace H. Holmes. Mark was employed as a truck driver for many years.
He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, boating, camping and making bonfires.
Mark was the beloved husband of Diana (Pfaff) Holmes, whom he married 35 years ago on October 13, 1990; father of Mark Jr, Allyssa and Shannon Holmes and Blake (Ryan) Holmes – Cariglio; brother of Kimberly Beachem, Carol Hines, Shawn Holmes and Melissa Johnson; grandfather of Gannon Horne, Haevyn Turner, Waylon, Clyde and Hennessy Grossman. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
