After leading police on a chase through Middlesex Township on a UTV, a Valencia man is facing charges for over $3,700 in damages.
The incident started on the 300 block of Leslie Road on June 1st.
Police were called for kids on a quad that were hitting mailboxes. When police arrived they found mailboxes and a speed limit sign on the ground.
Police say 29-year-old Shane McKinney was driving east on a UTV on Overbrook Road. McKinney led police on a chase, driving down into a ditch and became stuck before being arrested.
Police estimated McKinney did $3,733 worth of damage to mailboxes and roadway signs.
McKinney has been charged with five counts of criminal mischief, several summary driving offenses, and a DUI.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for August 4.
