Sandra “Sandy” Johnston, 81, of Butler, PA, passed away on July 7, 2026, at St. John’s Lutheran Senior Life.
Born on February 11, 1945, in South Hills, Pennsylvania, Sandy was the daughter of the late David W. Diamond and Grace (DeFillippo) Diamond.
She graduated from North Allegheny High School in 1963. Sandy worked as a receptionist for Vesuvious McDanel. She enjoyed crafting, puzzles, and ceramics. Sandy loved attending Applefest in Franklin and going to craft fairs.
She is survived by her three children, Kimberly A (David) Tincha, of Butler, PA; Ellsworth G. (Amy) Johnston, of Franklin Park, PA; and David H. (Donna) Johnston, of Slippery Rock, PA. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Allyson Johnston, of Franklin Park; Matthew Tincha, of Butler; and Christopher Tincha, of Butler; and one sister, Darrylyn (Jack) Gross, of Franklin Park, PA.
All services were held privately and entrusted to Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a local humane society or local law enforcement.
