A Butler man is in prison after daring State Police officers to shoot at him.
According to charging documents, on Monday on Monroe Street, a State Trooper saw 35-year-old Mario Longo punching and kicking a police car.
When troopers attempted to make contact, Longo rushed at officers screaming to be shot. A taser was utilized to subdue Longo and he was taken into custody.
Longo was charged with institutional vandalism, resisting arrest, evading arrest, and several other charges.
His bail was set at $50,000 and he’s awaiting a preliminary hearing.
