State police are investigating after a man had over $40,000 stolen in a fraud scheme.
Police say an 83-year-old Grove City man was convinced by an unknown caller that his bank account was compromised back in mid-June. The man then sent $44,800 to the scammer through a Wells Fargo account.
There are no known suspects and anyone with information should contact state police in Mercer.
