A Butler man has been charged and placed in custody after he allegedly tried to escape police custody.
On Wednesday, police were called to the 400 block of Negley Avenue in the City of Butler over a custody issue. When officers arrived on scene the caller was identified as 24-year-old Caydon Claypoole.
Claypoole was known to the officer for having a warrant out for his arrest for failing to register with Megan’s Law.
When officers informed Claypoole he would be arrested, he allegedly took off. Police had to use a taser to take Claypoole into custody.
He’s been charged with evading arrest and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bond.
