A Mars man is facing charges after he has been accused of setting off fireworks at children and having a stolen gun stored in Adams Township.
Last Thursday, police were called to a home on the 1000 block of Mars Evans City Road just before 6 p.m. for a man setting off fireworks at children.
When officers arrived on scene they spoke with the suspect 64-year-old John Muska who denied he fired off any fireworks.
While walking the property next to Muska’s, officers believed they saw pieces of cardboard that belonged to the fireworks. A search warrant was then secured and while searching the property officers found a gun that was reported stolen in Pittsburgh.
Muska was charged with receiving stolen property and recklessly endangering another person. He was placed in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bond.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for October 21.
