A Mars man has been charged and arrested after it’s alleged he strangled a woman and then fled the scene.
On Saturday, police were called to an Adams Township home for a woman heard screaming in the background.
When police arrived on scene they contacted the woman who accused 40-year-old Michael W. Kline of coming home, choking her, and then fleeing the scene after an argument. The woman claimed the argument began when Kline came to the home intoxicated.
Kline was found in a wooded area around Myoma and Mars Evans City Roads.
He was charged with strangulation and simple assault. He’s currently out of the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail as he awaits a preliminary hearing.
