A project is underway to help add more parking spaces for tractor trailers along highways in Pennsylvania.
PennDOT and Turnpike officials announced the plan to add more than 1,200 truck parking spaces at 133 different locations by the end of next year.
There are a number of additional spots planned along I-79 and I-80.
Officials say they are adding the spots to help trucks park in safer locations so they can get their required rest.
The spots are planned for interstate on-ramps, weigh stations, and other locations along the highway system.
