A local state park will again host a popular seasonal festival this weekend.
McConnells Mill will host the 32nd annual Heritage Festival- sponsored by the Rotary Club of Portersville-Prospect from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the Kildoo Picnic Area.
Families will be able to enjoy free tours of the mill as well as art and craft demonstrations. A Civil War encampment will offer another unique experience. There will also be live music and various vendors throughout the weekend as well.
Portions of McConnells Mill Road and Kennedy Road to the Gristmill and the Covered Bridge will be closed to vehicles to help ensure safety during the festival with park rangers helping to detour traffic. There are no charges for admission or parking at the McConnells Mill Heritage Festival.
