According to PennDOT, motorists in Butler and Summit Townships could see changing traffic patterns on Route 422.
The project to preserve the Shearer Bridge, near the Route 68/Route 38 exchange, is underway.
Work is weather dependent but 12-foot lane restrictions on both eastbound and westbound Route 422 are in place as well as a stop sign on the Route 422 westbound on-ramp. Travelling eastbound, the shoulder lane is restricted indefinitely.
This over $6 million project is expected to continue through October.
