A longtime local businessman is being recognized by the City of Butler in honor of his years of service.
After Denny Offstein recently announced that he would be retiring from his used car business on the Island, Butler City Council and Mayor Bob Dandoy issued a proclamation Thursday presenting Offstein with his fifth Key to the City.
Offstein expressed appreciation for the many Butler City residents he has known and worked with over the years giving away thousands of bikes at his bike rodeos, making improvements to the Island playground, and fundraising thousands for the Butler City K-9 program.
The evening also included a presentation by State Representative Marci Mustello of recognition and congratulations from the PA House of Representatives.
