At least one motorist was seriously injured as a result of a crash Monday afternoon in Franklin Township.
The call came into the Butler County 911 Center at 1:30 p.m. for a collision between a passenger vehicle and a PennDOT plow truck at the intersection of New Castle Road and Old Route 422.
Crews from Unionville, Prospect, and Portersville were among those dispatched to the scene to find entrapment as well as a motorist with chest and arm injuries.
A Stat MedEvac helicopter was called to land near that scene and transport the motorist for additional treatment. A portion of the road had to be shut down while crews were working to clear the scene.
