Drivers are now facing fines under new laws for phone usage while on the road.
Paul Miller’s Law enforcement went into effect earlier this month and drivers will start receiving a $50 fine if caught using a mobile device while driving, even if stopped at a red light.
This past week, State Police conducted Operation Hands Off from Monday to Wednesday. Almost 700 citations and over 300 warnings were handed out for the new law in just 3 days.
