Butler Township residents will soon see a wastewater line replacement.
Pennsylvania American Water announced that they are going to spend nearly $500,000 to replace nearly 2,000 feet of aging 12-inch wastewater main on Sawmill Run Road.
After this work, the road’s excavated section will be repaired to make it through winter weather. Then in the spring, workers will reopen the road to replace the old water main in the area. After both the water and wastewater main replacements are finished, the affected section of Sawmill Run Road will be fully resurfaced.
Crews will work on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. with construction expected to take between a month and a month and a half. Single-lane traffic closures will take place during work hours.
