Revenue from gambling has reached a record high, breaking over $7 billion in gross profit within the state of Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board says that profit generated from slot machines, table games, sports betting, and others during the last Fiscal Year has broken $7 billion.
The Commonwealth collected over $3 billion of that revenue made from taxes and fees, also a record amount.
The amount collected by the Commonwealth is used in a number of ways including supporting the agricultural industry, working on the state’s infrastructure, and grants from small municipalities.
