The Pittsburgh Pirates were idle on Labor Day Monday. They begin a six-game home-stand tonight with the first of three games against the Los Angeles Dodgers at PNC Park. Carmen Mlodzinski will start for the Bucs. Clayton Kershaw will start for the Dodgers.
First pitch is 6:40pm. WISR pre-game is 6:15pm.
The Pirates are coming off a seven-game road trip where they posted a 4-3 record against the Cardinals and Red Sox. It was just the second time this season the Pirates had a winning record on a road trip.
The home-stand will see the Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers come to town. The Dodgers currently lead the San Diego Padres in the National League West by 2-1/2 games. The Brewers continue to carry the best record in baseball.
The Bucs have 12 games remaining at PNC Park this season.
