State police are ramping up DUI enforcement this weekend.
Troopers will have a heavier presence in Butler and surrounding counties on both Friday and Saturday night targeting DUI offenders.
Police are calling it “Operation Nighthawk” and they say it is specialized training and enforcement program that is “highly successful at reducing drinking and driving.”
The roving DUI patrols will be a combination effort with state and local police.
