A Zelienople man is in the Butler County Prison after he allegedly assaulted someone at a Jackson Township home.
On Monday, police were called to home on the 100 block of Jo Deener Drive for a reported disturbance.
The caller told police about a person who came to their home seeking help after the victim was allegedly assaulted by 36-year-old Andrew Cypher.
When police spoke with Cypher, he allegedly had blood on his sweater.
According to charging documents, Cypher choked the victim after an argument about his alleged drug use.
Cypher has been charged with strangulation and simple assault and has placed in the Butler County Prison on $15,000 bond as he awaits a preliminary hearing.
