State Police have released more information on an accident that happened earlier this month in Oakland Township.
Police were called to Chicora Road at North of Valley Vista Lane on July 4 just after 11 a.m. for a two-vehicle accident.
According to police, two vehicles were traveling north on Chicora road when a vehicle operated by 43-year-old Travis Craig of Butler was turning into the University Korner gas station. The vehicle behind Craig operated by 84-year-old Shirley Weingartner of Chicora did not slow down and hit Craig.
Craig’s vehicle was able to drive away from the scene but Weingartner vehicle needed to be towed. Weingartner was also taken to Butler Memorial Hospital for her unknown severity of injuries sustained in the crash.
