A power outage impacted over a thousand residents in Butler Township Monday afternoon.
Nearly 1,500 homeowners and businesses were without power around 3 p.m. Monday.
According to a West Penn Power representative, crews near the Krendale substation noticed that a crossarm was broken on a pole in a wooded area resulting in wires with electricity coming into contact with the ground.
In order to replace the crossarm and repair the pole, those crews needed to turn off the line for about an hour with power being restored by shortly after 4 p.m.
