A vote on the house floor may soon be held that will require guns to have secure storage.
House Bill 2245, will require that all guns be stored securely, especially those left unattended where a minor or a person prohibited from lawful possession may be.
Advocates say 35 states already have “child access prevention” laws in effect.
The bill passed through the house Judiciary committee along party lines and is expected to receive a vote on the house floor.
