The Chairman of the Pennsylvania Utility Commission has been elected as the Vice President of an energy regulatory organization.
Chairman Stephen DeFrank announced he will serve as the Vice President of the Organization of PJM States after previously serving on the board of directors.
The Organization of PJM States oversees the 14-state region that PJM provides power too including Pennsylvania. It overlooks one the world’s largest regional transmission operators.
DeFrank was appointed to his role as Chairman in 2023 by Governor Josh Shapiro and confirmed for a second term in 2025.
He will continue to serve in both roles overlooking energy in Pennsylvania and the 14-state region.
