Richard Allen Julius, Sr., 66, of Fenelton, passed away Friday, Aug. 1, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital with his loving family at his side.
Born Oct. 13, 1958, in Kittanning, he was a son of the late Paul Julius and Carol (Smith) Fallecker.
Rick was a process safety manager for Messer.
He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Coylesville.
He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by three children, Angela Simmons and her husband, Kris, of Butler, Richard Julius, Jr. and his wife, Megan, of Mars, and Justin Julius and his wife, Kiera, of Sarver; and seven siblings, Paula Brady and her husband, Craig, of Butler, Jeffrey Julius of Fenelton, Suzie Rieger of West Sunbury, Cindy Miller and her husband, Bob, of Butler, Paul Julius and his wife, Lisa, of Wexford, Susan Buffington and her husband, Thad, of Worthington, and Chris Critchlow and her husband, Glen. of Saxonburg.
Rick is also survived by 14 grandchildren, Noah, Hannah, Jonah, Leah, and Lukah Simmons, Lucy, Charlotte, Violet, James, and Emery Julius, and Lydia, Natalie, Ellie, and Victoria Julius; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Vivien D. (Brice) Julius, whom he married May 17, 1980, and who passed away March 30, 2016.
Friends will be received in the Martin Funeral Home Downtown, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler, on Tuesday from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 668 Clearfield Rd., Fenelton, with Rev. Matt McClain officiating.
Burial will take place in St. John’s Cemetery.
