Sean K. McMillen, 41, of Butler passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2026. He was born in Butler on February 12, 1985, to Keith and Kathleen (Dorsch) McMillen. Sean received his Associates and then later his Bachelor’s of Arts degree.
He worked at the Pittsburgh Hotels; like the DoubleTree, Marriott and Omni William Penn, he also worked at the Nemacolin Resort and Kiawah Island Resort in South Carolina.
His passions included being an avid Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Penguins fan. Sean loved the ocean and the beach; he enjoyed kayaking, fishing, canoeing and golfing.
Sean had an infectious smile and would radiate caring energy to everyone he met. He had a kind heart, was compassionate and had a great sense of humor. Sean loved his family, his dog and missed his grandparents. He was a wonderful son, who made his parents extremely proud.
Sean will be sadly missed and always loved by his parents, Keith and Kathleen; his sister, Jennifer (Matt) Doherty; aunts and uncles: Susan, Sharon (Dave), Chuck and Christine; and his nephews, Michael and Charlie.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 NEW CASTLE RD. BUTLER, PA 16001.
