Butler Township Police have released more information on a crash last night that saw two people taken to the hospital.
Just after 10 p.m. Thursday police were called to New Castle Hill in front of the state police barracks for a head on vehicle accident.
According to police, a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Jack Johnson of Butler was heading down the hill before he collided with a vehicle driven by 28-year-old Dakota Suchonic-Thomas of Evans City.
The crash caused Johnson’s vehicle to go up the hill side and Suchonic-Thomas’s to rollover. Both men needed to be extricated out of the vehicles.
Johnson was life flighted to a Pittsburgh Trauma Center and listed in critical condition while Suchonic-Thomas was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital.
The road was shut down for two hours.
The investigation into the accident is still ongoing.
