A settlement has been announced with three of the country’s largest egg producers for an illegal scheme to manipulate egg prices.
The investigation found that three of the largest egg producers secretly communicated from 2022 to 2025.
As a result of the settlement, the companies must end their coordination, and compliance measures have been put in place to prevent future illegal activities.
3.4 million eggs will be given to food banks and communities across the country as a result of the settlement.
Attorney General Sunday says businesses should compete fairly and they should not conspire to drive high prices.
