A man and woman are facing charges for breaking into an Evans City Borough home and stealing several items.
On April 3 around 5 p.m. police were called to a home on the 400 block of Van Buren Street for a break-in and theft.
When officers arrived on scene, they saw damage to a rear door. The victim said jewelry, $30 to $40 in cash, and medication were taken from the home.
According to charging documents, the victims believed 39-year-old Nathan and 44-year-old Beth Leasher both of Butler, broke into the home and stole the items.
During the investigation of the incident, police were able to use video surveillance and cell phone location data to connect Nathan and Beth to the break-in.
They have been charged with burglary, three counts of theft by unlawful taking, and criminal trespassing.
They are both being held in the Butler County Prison on $25,000 bond and a preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 6.
