Two people died in a crash in Penn Township Saturday evening have been identified.
The accident happened just after 7 p.m. in the 100 block of Beacon Road.
Dispatchers say a vehicle crashed into a tree. When crews got on scene, they found one person unresponsive and another seriously injured. The vehicle also caught on fire.
A medical helicopter was called and flew the other person to Butler Memorial Hospital, where the person later died.
The Butler County Coroner’s office identified the two men who died in the crash as 38-year-old Cody Huffman of Harmony and 45-year-old Garrett Griffin of Cranberry.
Police have not released any additional information on how the crash happened.
