A local company will receive state funding to continue the transition to vehicles that use natural gas.
The PA Department of Environmental Protection recently awarded an Alternative Fuel Incentive Grant of $120,000 to Vogel Disposal Service.
This money will allow for the purchase of six renewable natural gas waste vehicles.
The DEP awarded nearly $3.5 million to fund 27 projects that will save over a million gallons of gasoline each year.
Applications are being accepted for the next round of grants until October through the Alternative Fuel Incentive Grant website.
