Candace “Candy” Brake

Candace “Candy” Brake, 63, of Cabot passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025. She was born in Natrona Heights on July 22, 1962, to the late Delmont “Hoss” and Patricia Peiffer. Candy graduated from Freeport High School. Candy loved event planning and entertaining, anything from home projects to charcuterie boards. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, karaoke and Steelers football. Candy was known for being a devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend, and a loving grandmother and aunt. Candy was the beloved wife of the late Harry Brake; mother of Joe (Mallory) Schreckengost, Nicole (George) Hobaugh, Amanda (Dusty) Brown, Kristen (Dennis) Brake, and numerous stepchildren; sister of Valerie Brake; grandmother of Garrett, Avery, Audrina, Peyton, Kolton, Alia, Bryar, Conor, and Jaxon. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Dale Peiffer. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 30, 2025, from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at SPENCER D.
