Armco Credit Union is continuing renovation and rebuilding efforts after a garbage truck crashed into the Butler branch over a year ago.
A crane was recently assembled to install eleven steel beams, each 50 feet long, approximately 6,000 pounds, and will be put 42 feet into the ground along the side facing Hanson Avenue.
Construction for the $10 million project has already gotten underway and according to John Gibson Jr., Armco CU Board of Directors President and Clerk of Works for the construction project, the wall will stop “a 60,000-pound vehicle traveling at 45 miles per hour.”
