A Butler man has been charged after being accused of kicking a hospital security employee in the chest and hitting a nurse.
On Tuesday, officers were called to Butler Memorial Hospital for an alleged assault.
When officers spoke with a security employee a dirt footprint could be seen on his chest. The employee told police that 29-year-old Troy Whitmire kicked him in the chest as he was helping a nurse restrain Whitmire.
A nurse that was also assisting in restraining Whitmire told police he was hit in the face as well.
Whitmire was charged with two counts of aggravated assault and is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
