Nonprofit organizations are now eligible to apply for grant funding to help combat hate crimes in Pennsylvania.
Applicants can apply for grants from $10 million in the state budget to battle hate crimes targeted at an induvial for their race/ethnicity/ancestry, religion, sexual orientation, disability, gender identity, or gender biases.
The money must be used for safety and security planning and training, purchase of safety and security equipment, upgrades to existing structures that enhance safety, and vulnerability and threat assessments.
The final day to apply for the grants are Monday January 12, 2026 and grant rewards will be announced in March of 2026.
