Representative Mike Kelly’s Hermitage office was vandalized this past weekend.
It’s believed the vandalism took place sometime between Friday night into Saturday morning.
In photos provided by Kelly’s office, red writing can be seen on the glass windows of the office with the phrase “mental illness is not a crime” and “GOP= racism, cover up, (and two acts of sexual violence including against children)” in bullet points.
A statement from Kelly’s office said “Let’s be clear: political violence and vandalism are never acceptable.”
The statement also says that Kelly’s office is working with local law enforcement and U.S. Capitol Police on an ongoing investigation.
The Hermitage District Office was opened last month after moving from Sharon according to the release.
