Valerie Faye DiFrischia, age 74, of Prospect, passed away Sunday, July 27,2025 at Quality Life Services, Chicora.
Born February 14, 1951 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Leonard E. and Hazel M. (Whittaker) Frank.
For many years, Valerie dedicated her life to caring for others as a devoted nanny. With a heart full of love and an unwavering sense of compassion, she nurtured countless children, guiding them through their early years with patience, tenderness, and wisdom. To those families, she was far more than a caregiver—she became a treasured member of their lives.
Artistic by nature, Valerie brought beauty and creativity into each day. She had a special gift for arts and crafts and could turn the simplest materials into something beautiful. Her creativity extended beyond the craft table as she found great joy in gardening and a love for travel, always eager to explore new places.
Valerie’s legacy is one of kindness. She dearly loved her grandchildren and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is now free from suffering and at peace.
She is survived by her children Chelsae (Patrick) Youkers of Butler, Quinn Long of Harrisville, Whitney (Matt Chacey) DiFrischia of Midlothian, VA, Allen (Sarah) DiFrischia of Slippery Rock, and Noah DiFrischia of Prospect; eight grandchildren Daein, Adisyn, Elise, Eilee, Tiernan, Valor, Apollo, and Corisa; her sisters Gaye Geinzer of Irwin and Jeannine Kiger of Brave, PA; and a brother, William Frank of Ellwood City.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 35 years, Daniel DiFrischia Sr. whom she married November 20, 1986 and who passed away January 1, 2022; and a sister, Darlyn Hazzard.
