A Butler man is facing charges after he allegedly assaulted and strangled a woman in the City of Butler.
On Sunday, police were called to Butler Memorial Hospital for an alleged assault.
When officers spoke the victim, she accused 36-year-old Donald Grantz Jr. of slamming her to the ground twice. She also said Grantz strangled her.
Red marks could be seen on the victim along with red hand prints her neck.
Grantz has been charged with aggravated assault and strangulation and placed in the Butler County Prison on $80,000 bond.
A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for March 16.
