A UPMC Lemieux physical therapist was sentenced late last week for stealing prescription pills from a patient’s Cranberry Township home.
In September, police charged 42-year-old Trevor Delaney for stealing a patient’s prescription after canceling an appointment then coming to the victim’s home and stealing the drugs. Delaney stole 41 pills from the patient.
On Thursday, Delaney pled guilty to theft by unlawful taking and was sentenced to 23 months in prison but was paroled at sentencing to serve the first four months on house arrest.
Delaney will also have to pay $1,905 in fines, fees, restitution, and cost of prosecution.
