The Pitt basketball team defeated Stanford 64-63 Tuesday in the opening round of the ACC Tournament in North Carolina. Damarco Minor grabbed a rebound and scored the game-winner with less than a second remaining in the game. Pitt entered the game as the #15-seed. The Panthers will get North Carolina State today in the Second Round. Tip-off is Noon. The game will be televised on ESPN2.
Another 15th-seed won last night as well. Northwestern ousted Penn State 76-66 in the First Round of the Big Ten men’s basketball tournament in Chicago.
