Governor Josh Shapiro says there could be a loss of health coverage and benefits for Pennsylvanians if the Big Beautiful Bill is signed into law.
According to Shapiro, the new data suggests that 144,000 Pennsylvanians could lose their SNAP benefits and another 310,000 could lose their healthcare if the bill is passed.
In the 16th Congressional District which covers from Butler to Erie, represented by Mike Kelly, an estimated 18,498 residents could lose Medicaid coverage and 8,751 lose SNAP benefits.
The bill now currently sits in the House of Representatives.
