A Butler woman has been placed in the Butler County Prison after it’s alleged she attempted to attack someone with a knife.
On Monday, police were called to an apartment located on the 300 block of Virginia Avenue for a woman attempting to assault another woman with a knife.
When police arrived, the alleged victim nephew had been able to take the knife away from 23-year-old Lillian Anthony. After the knife was taken away Anthony is accused of hitting the victim in the head.
According to charging documents, Anthony admitted to being intoxicated and became irate as officers asked more questions about the incident. Allegedly, screaming racial slurs and profane words at officers.
It’s then alleged she attempted to kick the officers out of her apartment but was then taken into custody.
Anthony has been placed in the Butler County Prison on $10,000 bond as she awaits a preliminary hearing for one count of aggravated assault.
