Motorists in the Cranberry Township area should be aware of some road work planned for next weekend.
PennDOT is beginning a paving project on eastbound Freedom Road between Powell Road and Haine School Road September 20th and 21st. Work will continue the following two weekends with October 11th and 12th as the rain date for completion if necessary.
Detours will be in place using Rochester Road and Route 19. Westbound Freedom Road traffic will not be affected.
This work is an extension of the Freedom Road project that includes new highway and turning lanes, along with signal upgrades and safety improvements with an estimated date of completion in November.
